Paradise Valley will soon be home to a new Ritz-Carlton resort. Ground breaking for the new $2 billion Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley resort is expected this spring.
The luxurious resort will feature 200 “casita style” hotel rooms plus 139 homes as part of a residential community. You’ll have your choice of villas ranging from 1,700-square-feet to 6,000-square-foot houses. The master-planned community includes 45 Ritz-Carlton-branded houses, which will give access to hotel amenities, a concierge and other services like in-home dining and housekeeping.
The hotel, that includes an underground parking garage, will sit on 20 acres below Camelback Mountain near the northwest corner of Scottsdale Road and Lincoln Drive. Scottsdale-based Five Star Development will build the hotel and expects the project will be finished by 2018.
In addition to the main pool, the developer says could be the longest swimming pool in North America at about 400 feet, there’ll also be separate pools for adults and families along with a spa.
The grand lawn will offer views of Camelback Mountain. Also, look for a garden with seasonal produce harvested for on-site restaurants and a citrus orchard.
Since the property also stretches into Scottsdale, the developer plans to build a mixed-use center. Palmeraie will be adjacent to the Ritz but primarily on the Scottsdale side. While still ion the planning stages, the project could include high-end shops, restaurants, luxury residences and a boutique hotel.
